The project scope involved the decommissioning and dismantling of five above-ground storage tanks, which were no longer in use. These tanks had served their purpose and were now deemed obsolete, which made their removal essential. The five tanks varied in size, but they all had a capacity of at least 2000 liters each. The tanks were located in the client’s premises, and the project site was situated within a busy industrial area, which posed a considerable challenge.

The project was initiated with a thorough assessment of the site and tanks to identify potential hazards and risks. Symcom Exim also obtained all necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Safety was given utmost importance during the project, and all necessary precautions were taken to ensure the safety of our workers, site personnel, and the environment.

The dismantling process involved several steps, including the removal of all piping and connections, draining of the tanks, and removal of all ancillary equipment. Symcom Exim utilized specialized equipment and tools, including cranes and excavators, to safely and efficiently dismantle the tanks. The dismantled equipment was transported to our designated disposal site, where it was further dismantled and recycled.

Disposal of the dismantled equipment was done in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring minimal impact on the environment. Symcom Exim adhered to all applicable environmental regulations and guidelines during the disposal process. We recycled all metal and other materials from the dismantled tanks, ensuring that they were disposed of safely and sustainably.

Throughout the project, Symcom Exim maintained a high level of communication with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd to keep them informed of progress and address any concerns or issues that arose. We completed the project within the agreed timeline and budget, exceeding the expectations of our client.
