Symcom Exim recently completed a major project for Bharati Defence and Infrastructure Ltd, located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The scope of the project involved dismantling and disposing of a set of assets at Kolkata Shipyard, including leasehold land, an office building, shipbuilding infrastructure, a stockyard, dry dock, plant and machinery, inventory stores and equipment, semi-constructed vessels, and other items such as cranes, construction machinery, and ship parts.
The project began with a thorough assessment of the assets and a comprehensive plan to ensure safe and efficient dismantling and disposal. The first step involved securing the necessary permits and approvals from the relevant authorities. The team then conducted a detailed survey of the site and prepared a detailed dismantling and disposal plan. The plan took into account factors such as safety, environmental impact, and the potential for reuse or recycling of materials.
The dismantling and disposal process involved a combination of manual labor and the use of specialized equipment. The team carefully removed all the assets from the site and transported them to designated areas for further processing. The process of dismantling the infrastructure and equipment required a high level of technical expertise and experience. The team took all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of workers and the public, as well as to minimize any potential impact on the environment.
The disposal of the assets was carried out in an environmentally responsible manner. The team carefully sorted and segregated the materials to ensure that they were properly disposed of or recycled. They worked closely with local recycling facilities to ensure that as much material as possible was diverted from landfills.
Throughout the project, Symcom Exim worked closely with Bharati Defence and Infrastructure Ltd to ensure that the project was completed on time and within budget. They maintained clear communication with the client, providing regular updates on progress and addressing any concerns or issues that arose.
